Following tonight’s new episode / Christmas episode, do you want to learn the SWAT season 2 episode 11 return date? Well, we’ve got that for you within.
The bad news is that following everything that we saw tonight was that, alas, there will be no new episode airing next week. This was very much the midseason finale and with that in mind, we’re going to be waiting until the new year to see some of what’s next. Expect SWAT to return to CBS with new episodes in early January, where it could potentially have another run of episodes in this month and February. The next major hiatus we anticipate seeing when it comes to the show is in March, mostly because CBS has NCAA football and this is the sort of thing that they have every single year.
The most important thing to know at the moment is simply that SWAT will be returning to the air. Beyond that, we imagine that there are going to be some rather-entertaining stories for Shemar Moore and the rest of the cast. We imagine that there is going to be a heck of a lot of action within this story but, to go along with that, we’ve also got a feeling that there will be some interesting character arcs to go along with it … or at least this is what we hope. Given that SWAT is a story told over the course of 22 episodes, there is time to give almost everybody in the cast at least one more spotlight.
As for the show’s future beyond just the upcoming episodes this season, the future is absolutely still out when it comes to that. There is no guarantee for a season 3 renewal; as a matter of fact, there is certainly a good reason to worry about it. The second season of the show is struggling rather mightily in the 18-49 demographic and it’s going to be hard to turn that around. If it can, we will feel a little more confident about the chances of a season 3. We do think that CBS would like to keep the show going and tell some more stories within this world. With the ratings being what they are, though, that puts SWAT at present in a little bit more of no man’s land where the future could turn on a dime depending on what some of the network’s powers-that-be want.
We’ll get a little more news more than likely on the future of SWAT come March or April when we are in the thick of renewal / cancellation season. For now, the best thing to do is just sit back, relax, and really enjoy the show!
