Is Law & Order: SVU new tonight on NBC? Character story suggestions

Is Law & Order: SVU new tonight on NBC? Following the fantastic story that we got on last week’s new episode, it is fair to say that we want more. Unfortunately, we’re just not going to have a chance to get it right now.

Last week’s new episode was the final one for the year, so we suppose on some level we should be happy with the season wrapping things up (temporarily) with one of its better episodes. We also should be grateful about the simple fact that we did get to see the series go on for so long this fall; after all, we did get more new episodes of it on the air than just about any other scripted show out there!

So while we wait for new episodes to air in early 2019, why not talk about some individual characters? In this article, we want to come up with some suggestions for each one of the core cast members moving forward on this season.

Olivia – First and foremost, we want to see the story with Noah progress so that the two can be on the same page. It would actually be nice to see the two of them working together in order to take on some other sort of challenge, such as something that Noah is going through in school or just real-life issues that aren’t necessarily life-or-death. Case-wise, we’d actually like to see Benson work with federal law enforcement on a case that is a little larger and more high-stakes than any other we’ve seen.

Rollins – She is going to welcome a new baby soon, and with that, the biggest thing we want is just a window into her life. We’re sure that Kelli Giddish will be on maternity leave for some of the second half of the season, but we hope there are at least updates on her in the script.

Carisi – More so than anything else, we want to see him get a big, meaty case that he can help to run point on — or something that he can use a little bit of his legal training for given that this is such an enormous part of his backstory.

Fin – How about giving us more of his life away from the force? We’ve barely gotten to see where the guy lives, let alone almost anything else. It feels like now that we’re so deep into the show’s run, it absolutely high time to understand more of who he is and what makes him tick.

Stone – We did just get a big story for the character, so really, we don’t think there will be another coming up in the near future. We really would just like to see a big story for him at the DA’s office, something that gives us more of a sense as to some of the politics there.
