Bull season 3 episode 9 review: The story of Gabriel and Danny James

Along the way, though, Danny learned something else quite surprising about the man: As it turns out, he was a doctor back in his own country. He was also in the United States and illegally and that presented a number of different challenges for both himself and also for Danny when it looked as though he was going to be deported. How could there be a legal recourse for him to stay?
For most of this episode, Bull and the rest of the team looked for almost every way possible for that to happen — they tried to see if there was an angle in which to make this case work. Unfortunately, nothing was working here and that led to Danny making a huge decision: Deciding that she was going to try and marry him. She went to the courthouse, knowing that time was of the essence in order to ensure that they get married and Gabriel stay in the country. Yet, being told there was a 24-hour waiting period caused a major problem for the two of them.
As for another case…
Bull and the rest of TAC found themselves in the midst of another case, one where they helped a man known as Geoffrey Schreiber who was being sued by a museum over the possession of a valuable painting. They were able to be successful in this case, but the problem with this case is that Bull did find himself very much distracted by what was going on with Gabriel. He knew that he wasn’t going to win that one.
At the end of the episode, Gabriel realized that he was out of moves and because of that, he would have to voluntarily deport; it was the only way in which he had a chance to someday come back to this country.
Well, here is this the interesting twist. As it turns out, Bull made arrangements with Geoffrey to ensure that Gabriel could start a life somewhere else that would be safe for him — it just wouldn’t be America. He has an opportunity now to go to a new place where he can find himself a little bit of safety.
CarterMatt Verdict
This was a crazy case, an emotional one for Danny and one that eventually gave Gabriel a new lease on life in Germany. We’re not sure precisely what the future is going to hold for him and Danny down the line, but after what we saw tonight, at least they have a shot! That means something, and we certainly don’t think that this is something that could come back onto the story at some point down the line.
