Alas, for at least this week, it’s just not happening. CBS clearly wanted to have some episodes airing a little closer to the holidays, but in order to make that happen, they had to find a little bit of time for repeats elsewhere. That included this week, and that’s why you’re not getting a chance right now to see what’s coming next for the mystery of the God account (or anything else, for that matter).
So while there may not be anything new to check out tonight, we do still want to offer up some insight into what’s coming up next. That is the focus of the promo below! On next week’s new episode, we could actually see one of the more personal missions for Miles to date. As it turns out, the latest friend suggestion is one of the frequent attendees at his father’s church, and Arthur doesn’t seem to be altogether eager with his son taking on a job that he feels personally is more his own responsibility. The two are going to clash about this, especially since Arthur wants to take on this particular problem himself. Given his profession, we cannot quite say that any of this is a surprise.
Yet, Miles is facing a pretty important decision now — is he going to really let his father continue forward with his work, or will he try and intervene? Does he trust his father, or the mystery “Heavenly Father” who is supposedly sending him all of this information? Over the course of this episode, we are absolutely hoping to get a little bit more information on that subject.
By the end of God Friended Me next week, we feel like we’re going to have some more answers, and that the relationship between Miles and his father will be tested a great deal. There’s always going to be a push and pull between the two, not that this should be a surprise to anyone who has seen things develop between the two over the course of this season.
