X Factor UK season 15: Who won, Dalton Harris, Scarlett Lee, or Anthony Russell?

Going into the results tonight, we did feel fairly confident that Dalton Harris was the winner and it was hard to argue otherwise — he was the best singer and it felt like most of the public, the media, and even the judges were behind him. Meanwhile, it felt like there was a little bit more competition when it comes to who was going to finish second. Our personal pick was that we would see Scarlett second and Anthony second, but we know that Anthony had charted better in some recent votes. Sometimes, you gotta remember that guys get a lot of votes on shows like this … especially when you’ve got someone like Louis Tomlinson as a mentor.
Probably the most important thing to remember here is that winning The X Factor is no guarantee of stardom. What matters the most now is getting a chance to see what some of these acts do with the platform that they’ve got. This is when the real effort begins since this is a full-time job and then some.

The final results
At around 8:49 p.m. local time, Dermot O’Leary welcomed the three contestants back out on the stage.
Third Place – Anthony Russell! For some reason, he was so happy about that and even did an out-of-nowhere somersault. This is the right finish for him and we’re so happy that he is so happy with his overall placement here.
The Winner – It’s Dalton Harris! He has managed to take home the title over Scarlett, and the end results here are exactly what we hoped that they would be. The best performer this season won and this means that he has a really good chance at stardom now.
Also, kudos here to Scarlett Lee, who is absolutely a brilliant performer and someone who could have a rather big career of her own. This was a great season and with that, this was a fantastic ending to it. Congrats to Dalton! He had to close out the show with the winner’s single, and he had to have walls of steel to even get through that.
