We knew based on the information out there that NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 11 was going to be the final episode of the year. Yet, at the same exact time, it was not entirely clear as to whether or not we were going to be seeing some sort of Christmas celebration in there. The final episodes of the year for any show within the NCIS franchise do tend to have some sort of festive celebration as a part of them, but there is never any guarantee that this is going to be the case.

Luckily, we do have some confirmation now that “Joyride” will feature the holidays in some shape or form — the latest photo above on the subject is proof! Here, you can also get some evidence that Deeks and Kensi’ bar is also going to be a part of the story in some capacity, as the two are going to be hosting some sort of festive celebration in front of a tree and decorations. We do like the bar as a new location for the show, mostly since this is where some of these cast members can go and spend a little bit of time together at the end of a really long day of work. Plus, after some of the stuff that this team goes through, we definitely like to think that a stiff drink is what the doctor ordered!
As for what the team is taking on this episode (entitled “Joyride”), let’s just say that NCIS Special Agent Nicole DeChamps is going to join the team after a Marine reservist, someone who has a history of PTSD, disappears following an altercation where he was drunk and disorderly. This is one of those instances where time is of the essence, as the team probably needs to do just about everything that they can in order to help this guy before he hurts himself and some other people around him.
So will the holiday season matter in this episode beyond just some of the window dressing in the back of some sets? That’s something that you will have to watch the episode in order to find out but, at least for now, we remain hopeful. This franchise does often find a good way of incorporating the holidays.
