Here is a message heading into Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 10 when it airs on CBS on Friday night — prepare for fireworks. This could be one of the biggest episodes of the entire season. If nothing else, this episode feels the most like the culmination of everything that has happened to date when it comes to McGarrett and his past with Greer.

After being MIA from the show for a little while Rochelle Aytes is going to be returning moving into Friday night’s new episode and potentially bringing with her a pretty high amount of chaos. We are imagining that there will be a lot of drama that unfolds with her return, but that goes almost without saying when you start to think about what the character is actually responsible for — giving up some names for former SEAL Team members to McGarrett who are suddenly being wiped off the face of the Earth. Steve is now in a situation where he has to figure out what is going on here and soon, given that if he doesn’t, there is a reasonably good chance that he is also going to be wiped out.
While we don’t actually think that there’s a chance Steve could be killed off during this episode, you do have to understand that Greer is one of the most dangerous people that he’s encountered just because of the fact that she has such a knowledge about him few others do. She was once with him romantically and even though clearly things are different now and the two have changed dramatically as people, there is a sort of fundamental understanding here that is something that we really do not think can be ignored.
As for whether or not this will be the final appearance of Greer on Hawaii Five-0, isn’t that something to take a wait-and-see approach on? It’s all going to depend on precisely what happens here but given some of Greer’s ties and the people that she’s worked with, we certainly do imagine that it’s possible that Hawaii Five-0 could dive in and touch on some more stuff with the character moving into the future.
Oh, and if you haven’t heard already, Terry O’Quinn is coming back in this episode as Joe White. Consider that news the icing on the cake.
