NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 9 video: A story of separate lives

Coming up on NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 9, we’re going to have a different sort of mystery than any we’ve seen before. The murder victim is a prominent Navy contractor, and he’s one that harbored a secret that was quite possibly more significant than any other that we’ve seen — he was living a double life. He had one wife and family in one place, and then another someone else. Basically, it’s easy to imagine why there would be some people who would have a bone to pick with the guy.

The new promo below gives you a good sense as to what’s coming in terms of the story of the week, and beyond that, we’re incredibly curious to learn precisely how the show is going to resolve this case. There are so many possible suspects because of this guy’s secret, and then also questions about how he was able to pull this off in the first place. Sometimes with shows like this, you have episodes that carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. However, with others at times we do have episodes where things are a little more cut-and-dry; basically, ones that are a whole lot easier to understand where there is a murder and the team just tries to solve it.

On paper, this case doesn’t appear to be as high-stakes as some others that we’ve seen … but that may just be our superficial take on it. We wouldn’t be altogether shocked if there is another twist that comes up at some point, one that sends these characters down yet another complicated road. We’re excited to see what the story will look like one way or another; also, fingers crossed that we get some good personal moments for the characters along the way. We’re really hoping for a chance to see more for characters like Tammy, Sebastian, Patton, and Wade, especially since they haven’t had anywhere near as many spotlights on some of them so far this season.

More so than anything else, at the moment we are just thrilled to have NCIS: New Orleans back on the air again! It’s been a good week and a half now since we’ve seen it and it’s pretty fair to say that this is a part of our weekly required-viewing rotation. It’ll be nice to have it back for at least a couple more weeks next month.
