Tonight, we did see a rather big blindside with Carl being the latest person to leave — and via a blindside no less! With him gone, all of a sudden we are going to see Gabby suddenly feeling extra empowered, so much so that she is going to start contemplating getting rid of Christian next. He is one of the biggest targets out there in that he is likable and super-strategic. Given that Gabby has somewhat been billed as the ultimate David, it does make some sense for her to want to try to get one over on another player. Personally, we think this move’s a little bit too early just given the amount of people leve, and also the fact that this move shows that Gabby would take out anyone in the game at any time. That’s a dangerous thing to do, but we love the gumption.

Elsewhere, this is the part of the season where the family visit happens! That means that we could have a resetting of some strategy just given the fact that some players may be thinking differently after they see their loved ones. It is beneficial in that it can offer up some perspective at a time in which you don’t really have any otherwise from the outside world. We think that it motivates players, and we do think that there are some people to think and be worried about. Christian is a big threat, but so is Nick. Gabby’s obviously a very dangerous player and Alison is super-competitive. Meanwhile, we’d keep around people like Angelina and Mike for now.

Numbers-wise, one thing that does remain interesting is that the David and Goliath numbers are equal again! Right when it started to seem like the David tribe could have run the table, all of a sudden it was determined that it was not in Gabby and Christian’s best interest to do that … or was it? If Gabby does get rid of Christian now, her side of the numbers would be slightly dwindled, especially since we’re not altogether sure that Mike is the sort of ally who will regularly stick with them. He’s going to go where he feels is best moving forward.
