Let’s kick things off here with what is the rather-sad news that, unfortunately, there is no installment coming up on CBS tonight; instead, you’re going to have to wait until December 4 to see what lies ahead for Mark Harmon and the rest of the cast. There are presumably still two more episodes to go this season, so there are at least going to be some more opportunities to enjoy some great stories before the year fully winds down.

December 4 – This episode is going to be one that involves an undercover stakeout mission, one that begins with a key suspect from an unresolved case is (ironically) released from prison. Basically, this is an opportunity for the team to do a little bit of investigative work on someone who already knows a thing or two about being locked-up. It’s certainly possible that they could be a little more cautious because of that. After all, wouldn’t they not want to end up being in prison again? That feels like a fair assumption to make.

December 11 – This episode is fittingly titled “What Child Is This?” and it’s a holiday-themed installment. There is also a baby that is discovered with no investigation and they factor into the case at large. Given that NCIS has done some rather-touching stuff over the years, we’re certainly hopeful that we’re going to have a chance to see something rather similar here.

More than likely, NCIS will return with new episodes fairly early on in the new year, which has been largely the tradition with the CBS show for some time. There could be some hiatuses throughout early 2019 due to Celebrity Big Brother, mostly because that show runs a rather-crazy schedule, but the reality remains that typically, NCIS does a few hiatuses throughout the first couple of months, anyway. There is probably not going to be anything altogether-different coming this time around, though we know story-wise there are a few different things we’d like to see. That begins with some more great moments for Gibbs and Sloane alongside getting a chance to maybe see a crossover before the end of the season. After all, it’s been a while since we had a proper one other than a brief Mark Harmon cameo in the NCIS: New Orleans premiere.
