Dancing with the Stars: Juniors: Who was eliminated tonight?

DWTS Juniors

The latest episode of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors came on ABC on Sunday night and with that came another elimination.

So who was sent home this time around, right before making it to the final four? Think in terms of Mandla Morris. The son of Stevie Wonder, who even ended up performing while his dad performed at one point this season, ended up going home in fifth place. It was tough to see him go; yet, we do think just being on this show is a net positive for someone like him with big dreams. He’s the sort of person who could come off of this and do a lot of other things whether it be acting, music, or dancing in some other way.

One of the things that we’ve come to learn about Dancing with the Stars as a franchise over the years is that this really is in many ways a farm system for all sorts of great talent. We’ve seen many alumni from the flagship show manage to leverage that on their way to gigs elsewhere. Just look at Jordan Fisher and Frankie Muniz as evidence! These two are the co-hosts for the Juniors edition of the show and they both made it really far on their own season of the show. They can tell these contestants first-hand just where doing this show can eventually take you.

New episodes of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors are going to continue to air on ABC Sunday nights, and it certainly is interesting that this version of the show is going on longer than the flagship. Yet, in so many ways, we’re grateful given the fact that the flagship version always does end so early and we want to see some good entertainment stick around for a while. Some of these kids are very good, and there is absolutely nothing that Morris should be sad about at the moment. Making it this close to the end of the show is a reason for mass celebration. (Also, we imagine that there are a lot of close friendships that have formed throughout the course of the series, and there are probably some other people who Morris has to cheer for now.)

Also, at least in terms of the scores Morris managed to hold his own against many of the other dancers for a reasonable period of time. There’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of there!
