Shadowhunters season 3 episode 11 preview: What should be next?

So what is the first order of business here? More than likely, trying to find a way to resolve the epic Clary cliffhanger that was present at the end of the first half of the season. In the closing minutes of that installment, it appeared as though Katherine McNamara’s character was (shockingly) killed off — yet, at this point it’s pretty clear that Clary is not gone for good. She’s coming back in some capacity, and she is certainly not alone.
One of the most notable additions to the series moving forward is Luke Baines, who is playing the true face and form of Jonathan. His story is going to escalate in a dramatic way moving into the next ten episodes, and we can only hope that he proves to be a threat in all of the different ways that we’re hoping. He’s someone worth looking out for, at least if you are watching the show for plot-related reasons. (Remember, it’s also hard to imagine Lilith being gone from the show forever, either … You can’t quite kill someone like her.)
As for relationships…
We know that there are many a passionate ‘ship audience out there for Shadowhunters and with that in mind, there is plenty of good stuff coming for a number of the show’s most-notable pairings.
Meanwhile, we imagine that Magnus’ actions with Asmodeus are going to have enormous consequences moving forward. He has no magic and with that, his life could be totally different. We know that Alec is the sort of character who will love him no matter what, but this sacrifice on his part could set in motion some really interesting storytelling. He basically has to look at his life through a very different lens than he ever has before.
Finally, we turn here to Simon and Izzy, a relationship that is going to heat up in some capacity in the second half of the season. We hesitate to say too much on this subject, at least other than simply this: Stay tuned. Fans of Sizzy are going to have an opportunity for more story for these characters than they have seen so far.
In general…
Be prepared for an excellent second half of the season, culminating in The Final Hunt moving at the end. If these turn out to be the final episodes of the series, all signs point towards the Shadowhunters cast and crew ending things in a bang.
