The X Factor UK results: Were Acacia & Aaliyah, Danny Tetley eliminated?
But, did we actually get one? Read on to find out…

Going into the results, our feeling was that we’d see Acacia & Aaliyah leave for sure, mostly because it felt like they’d reached the peak of their run on the series. Otherwise, the only two people we felt 100% safe about were Scarlett Lee and Dalton Harris, who are feeling more and more like the top two contenders at the end of the show. (Granted, we also thought that Shan Ako would last a whole lot longer than she did in the end.)
The actual results…
So who are the final four? The first person announced safe was Dalton Harris, not that this is all that much of a shock to anyone. He’s our favorite to win! Meanwhile, Scarlett was the second person to advance. This is the producers officially deciding to just put forward the acts everyone knew would be safe first.
Well, this is where things get a little bit nutty … Acacia & Aaliyah are actually moving forward to the final four! This was crazy and unexpected, but somehow the two have found themselves more of an audience than we imagined that they would.
The final act who was moving forward to the next round was Anthony, who screamed like he was Russell Crowe in Gladiator after he was put through. This means that Brendan Murray and Danny Tetley were eliminated in a rather shocking way. Given his trajectory the past few weeks, we did think that we were going to be seeing Brendan move forward to the finale. Danny, however, is an elimination that we saw coming for quite some time.
The final four
It’s Acacia & Aaliyah versus Dalton versus Scarlett versus Anthony. Not exactly the finale that we saw coming at the start of the live shows, but here we are and we’re curious to see how all of this shakes out in the end.
For now, though, we gotta just pick our jaw up off of the floor. Who saw these eliminations coming in this way? How could you? One more act is going home tomorrow, leading up to the final.
