Supergirl season 4 episode 7 preview: Lena Luthor’s trials pick up steam

Supergirl season 3

Next week on The CW, Supergirl season 4 episode 7 is going to allow some forward movement when it comes to the show’s biggest stories. That may be especially the case when it comes to one Lena Luthor.

Moving into the new episode next week, Lena’s tests and machinations are near the top of our list of interests; it is hard to not put them there when you think for a moment about everything that she’s got going on. This is a woman who has made it clear that, one way or another, she wants humans to have some of the same capabilities as aliens. She doesn’t want to see their technology limited in the slightest and wants them to have a level playing field to aliens — even if she doesn’t have any problem with other races being on Earth.

Yet, what is Lena willing to do in order to make that happen? This is just one thing to wonder as we approach this episode airing. For a little bit more insight, just take a look at the official Supergirl season 4 episode 7 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

CHAD LOWE DIRECTS – James (Mehcad Brooks) falls in deeper with the Children of Liberty in his efforts to meet Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer). Meanwhile, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Manchester Black (guest star David Ajala) follow a lead on Agent Liberty’s location, but things take a dark turn. Lena (Katie McGrath) kicks off her first set of trials. Chad Lowe directed the episode written by Dana Horgan & Katie Rose Rogers (#407). Original airdate 11/25/2018.

As we move further and further along into this episode, we imagine that we’re going to have a chance to see a lot of different highs and lows. For starters, there is a tangible sense of excitement that comes from James Olsen working his way into Agent Liberty’s inner circle in hopes of finding this guy and stopping him once and for all. Yet, at the same time there is a great deal of risk, as well. After all, he has to prepare himself for being found out as a double agent! He needs to prepare himself for all of this now, given that it is probably inevitable that some Children of Liberty are going to be suspicious of him. These are people who have probably conjured up every single conspiracy theory in the books as it is.
