Technically, there may be a number of people out there stoked to see Dr. Hunter more so than they are to see almost anything else, largely due to the fact that she was such an enormous part of the first season with the quest to try and take her down. It’s not often that you have doctor characters on this sort of show that are this terrible and she absolutely provided that. She was using patients and treatments to fill her own pockets, even if it came at the expense of her own health.
Now, the larger question that you have to wonder here is simply this: Where are things going to go with her back around? Why did the writers choose to bring her back at this point? There are many different questions that need to be answered and we certainly hope that this episode can answer some of them. We also just hope along the way that there are some opportunities to actually learn a thing or two more about what’s ultimately going to happen to her, as well; we don’t see her getting out of prison anytime soon, but is this going to be the last time we actually see this character?
What else is happening
Devon and Julian have a problem. They may not have intended it to be a problem, but at this point the two of them are so far in the weeds with it that it’s going to be tough for them to be able to crawl their way back out. There are feelings that are there for each other and both of them cannot ignore them, even if they try to. One solution is that they stop spending time together, but are they really going to be able to do that if they’re working in the same space?
As for another possibility, the two of them could look potentially towards just trying to be super-blunt and push the other person away … but then there is the possibility that maybe something happens to stop Devon’s wedding altogether. It feels like it’s only a matter of time at this point before Priya finds out the truth given that so many people around Chastain are aware that something is up between the two of them. How do you ignore something like this? The simple answer is that you can’t.
