If you were to ask us if Devon would get married at the start of the reason, the easy answer would be yes. After all, he loves Priya! They don’t spend a ton of time together but they love each other and are good together. Then, Julian arrived and basically things went to hell in a handbasket. Devon’s kissed her, laughed with her, and formed obvious feelings that he doesn’t want to completely admit to anyone — including himself. She also taught him how to do a wedding dance … which is probably why “The Dance” is the title of this episode. While we know that Conrad and Nic are virtually the two leads of The Resident, it’s nice that the writers are putting so much commitment into the Devon character and the relationships in his life. That speaks to his strength, coupled with the strength of the entire show. It’s going to make The Resident better in the end to have the supporting characters just as involved in the stories as the leads.

Devon’s doubts about his relationship reach a peak as his friends and family gather for his big wedding day. As Chastain’s leading medical device company, Quovadis, continues to succeed, Julian (guest star Jenna Dewan) makes a discovery that leaves her uneasy about her involvement in it all. Meanwhile, Conrad continues to work on his relationship with Marshall and Bell takes a risky offer in order to make a mistake from his past disappear in the all-new “The Dance” fall finale episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, Nov. 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
One more thing to point out here when it comes to Julian: Maybe she’s not as manipulative professionally as we first assumed.
The Dr. Bell story is sneakily thrown in at the end of this synopsis, but who wants to bet that this is one of the most important things that matters in this episode? Also (and we may hate ourselves for saying this), but is anyone else more committed to Dr. Bell as a character than they ever expected to be at this point? We don’t think that he is necessarily likable, but he certainly is magnetic as a character.
