If you look at the extended sneak peek below from this weekend’s “Kerblam,” what you can see is The Doctor doing her best from within the Tardis to navigate much of what is happening around her. Yet, nothing is precisely as it seems. It turns out that the disturbance was mostly because of the arrival of a special delivery via Kerblam, the biggest retailer in the galaxy. Basically, this seems to be the Doctor Who version of Amazon.
Within the delivery, what we end up seeing is a special hat, one that The Doctor has a rather close connection to. It’s a brief little homage to the past, but it does lead quite adequately to what lies ahead: The Doctor getting a very specific “help me” message that indicates to her that she needs to make a move, and rather quickly, in order to do … well, something. The problem here is that when you get a message reading “Help Me” and it doesn’t actually provide all that much in the way of information otherwise, you are really just left in a situation where you have to figure out some sort of alternative means to determine precisely what’s going on here.
This leads, in turn, to The Doctor and her friends making a journey over to Kerblam headquarters, a place where they actually think that they can find some sort of answers. What they eventually uncover instead is a rather-strange place, one that is partially automated and one in which The Doctor needs to do a little bit of trickery in order to do precisely whatever it is that she wants. This is an interesting, entertaining preview nonetheless, one that eventually reaches the point where everyone is successfully undercover. As for whether or not they stay that way, that’s just something that we’re going to have to learn about in due time.
This sneak peek was released in part of BBC’s annual Children in Need fundraising drive. If you want to get some more information on that drive or learn more about how to give, our suggestion is rather simple: Head over to the link here. This is absolutely a worthy cause.
