Where is Jack Dalton on MacGyver season 3? George Eads’ status

MacGyver season 3 episode 2

Where is Jack Dalton on tonight’s MacGyver season 3? In this article, we’ll touch on both that and George Eads’ status.

The first that is worth stating here is this: Eads isn’t departing the series, and there really shouldn’t be any major reason to worry about that. Jack just isn’t in tonight’s episode (at least as of this writing), mostly because he was sent to Brazil on some other sort of operation. Yet, Jack will be a part of next week’s new episode, and he is seen in some of the promotional photos for that particular installment. You don’t have anything to worry about there.

So why not also include him tonight? Speculation can be a tricky thing and with that, we don’t want to get into all of it here. Yet, it does feel like Eads isn’t meant to appear in every episode this season. Superficially, this feels a little bit similar to what’s going on when it comes to Danny on Hawaii Five-0, where you just don’t see the character every single week. We’ll see if that is something that lasts in the long-term with this series, but it is certainly something to be aware of at this particular point in the story.

The good news when it comes come to MacGyver is this — there is a rather-awesome cast from top to bottom, so in the event Jack is not featured, some other actors can step up to the plate and successfully deliver. Tonight, there is also a guest star stepping up to the plate here in Teen Wolf star Holland Roden, who is playing a British intelligence officer known as Eileen who has a history with the Ghost. The notorious bomber killed her parents and she wants nothing more than revenge over what transpired. She could be a character who comes back depending on what happens over the course of the hour. (Also, this episode flashed back to Mac’s time in Afghanistan and also the work that he did with Charlie.)

The other good news is this: It doesn’t seem like the series is going to be in any danger moving into the immediate future. We’ve got a really good feeling that there are going to be more new episodes coming in season 4, at least so long as the ratings stay strong and the quality is there the rest of the way.
