MacGyver season 3 episode 9 return date: Journey to the CDC

It shouldn’t come as all that much of a shock that there is no new MacGyver episode coming on CBS next week, mostly because of the simple fact that it’s Black Friday and CBS doesn’t want to run up against that. It is one of the most-competitive environments in all of TV and it makes sense that the series shouldn’t want to run up against that. They are, after all, better off trying to find a way to stake a much better claim elsewhere on a night when there are actual viewers around. That’s why the series is returning come Friday, November 30, and we know that there will be at least one episode airing in December. (CBS doesn’t tend to release their scheduling information too far in advance.)
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official MacGyver season 3 episode 9 synopsis with some other information as to what lies ahead:
“Specimen 234 + PAPR + Outbreak” – When a vial containing a deadly virus is stolen from the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, MacGvyer and team race to recover it before the thief unleashes a global pandemic, on MACGYVER, Friday, Nov. 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This episode is going to be a fun one, mostly because of A) its obvious ties to The Walking Dead and B) the fact that MacGyver is actually filmed in Atlanta! This is a rare chance for the producers to venture out into an environment that is right at their front door and there has to be a part of this that is exciting.
Also, it’s easy to imagine that this could be one of the most intense episodes of the year. We are, after all, talking about a life-or-death situation for virtually the entire world. It’s hard to really imagine a situation that is more dire than this.
On a different note, here’s a fun tidbit for those of you who love some of the show’s recurring players: Leanna is going to be coming back on the show in some capacity, and the same goes for Billy Colton.
What lies beyond season 3 episode 9?
Remember Dragonfly? That mysterious file opened up some information about Matty Webber’s past, including someone in Ethan who she cared about deeply. While we don’t want to say too much at present, let’s just say that this particular story is far from over.
