Grey’s Anatomy season 15: Is more with Meredith, DeLuca coming?

On Thursday night’s season 15 fall finale, Andrew decided to go big when it comes to his feelings for Meredith, making it clear that he had no regrets when it came to kissing her and he wanted to be in the running for her heart. He also didn’t care about the balance of power at work, or the fact that he previously dated her sister Maggie.
For the time being, what you should know is that even if MerLuca doesn’t become a thing, it’s also not going away in the near future. Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly about the finale, here is what Giacomo Gianniotti had to say:
I know we are working it day by day. We are doing episode 11 right now. I can’t really say where it progresses to but the train is definitely moving forward. There are moments when the train stands still a little bit and it’s moving inches instead of miles, but it’s definitely pushing forward. But it’s also pushing forward for Link. The triangle is still there. It’s like a chess game between Link and DeLuca. He might have a move where he beats me and is ahead of me but then I take him later. It’s like a push and pull. It will be interesting to watch.
Basically, this is the love triangle we’re going to see moving forward, and to think that so much buzz in the premiere was about Teddy, Owen, and Amelia. There may still be something there, but at the same time it feels like the show is really approaching things in a different way with that. The writers wanted to give Meredith options, and at the moment it absolutely does feel like they are doing just that!
Of course, it is easier to root for DeLuca at the moment just because so much more of the investment is there. He’s been a part of the show for a little bit longer and beyond just that, there have been more opportunities to see him and Meredith spend time together. Grant, Link does still bring a good bit to the table himself and it doesn’t feel right to completely overlook some of that. He’s just new, and sometimes with that comes a very high degree of the unknown.
