Want to know some of what’s ahead on STAR season 3 episode 8? Well, learning the return date here is arguably the first thing of importance.
The unfortunate news here at the moment is clear: There is no new episode of the show next week. That’s mostly because next week is the day before Thanksgiving, otherwise known as one of the busiest Wednesdays of the year. We’ve never understood why TV networks would want to program on this night since so many families are off doing other things, and it actually makes more sense what Fox is doing here. (With that being said, though, this was probably a placeholder date in the event that the World Series went to a Game 7 — if that happened, there is a good chance that Fox would be airing a new episode next week just to keep their schedule in line.)
Below, CarterMatt has the full STAR season 3 episode 8 synopsis with some other information when it comes to what’s ahead:
Carlotta returns to Gravity Records, but finds out a lot has changed. Star meets Jackson’s mother, Becky (guest star Kelly Sullivan), and makes a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, Simone asks Nina for help when Angel (guest star Evan Ross) returns in an unlikely way; Alex, still reeling from her fight with Derek, struggles with writing her own music; and Noah becomes dangerously paranoid and enlists his father, Bobby (guest star Harold Perrineau), as his new manager. Then, Cassie and Carlotta take steps towards making amends and Carlotta finds healing in confronting her father, Calvin (guest star Ben Vereen), in the all-new “Roots and Wings” episode of STAR airing Wednesday, Nov. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LDS-308) (TV-14, D, L, S, V)
This episode, in one way, is going to be all about reunions and about seeing some people try to combine both the old and the new — a good example of that is coming via Carlotta. Meanwhile, Star’s story is going to be about uncovering a few different surprises, ones that could end up having a large-scale impact on her future.
There are a lot of guest stars in this upcoming episode, but we’re personally always happy to see Harold Perrineau pretty much anywhere. Because he’s a series regular over on STAR, there really aren’t too many opportunities to see him on other shows. This does mark that opportunity and we’re certainly happy to explore a little bit more just what Bobby will be up to here.
In the end, there aren’t too many more stories until we get around to the fall finale. With that in mind, we just have to say to expect a few major twists leading up to some of the biggest jaw-droppers of the season.
