Want to know the Empire season 5 episode 8 return date on Fox? We’ve got that information for you within this very article!
When it comes to the return date for the show there is some good news and bad. The bad news is that there is no new episode coming up on the series in seven days’ time; yet, the good news is that this may be a blessing in disguise. Fox has aired episodes on Empire in the past on the week before Thanksgiving and there’s one thing that always stands out: The ratings. They’re never very good. You don’t want to see the numbers slide down too far when this is not the show that it once was ratings-wise; because of that, it almost is better to wait. (With this being said, there probably would be an episode next week if Fox was forced to take two weeks off for the World Series — this is just all schedule rejiggering and there are variables that impact it on a year-to-year basis.)
Now that we’ve covered all of that, let’s get to sharing some details about the actual story. Below, CarterMatt offers up the Empire season 5 episode 8 synopsis with some other news when it comes to what lies ahead:
The cost of running Lyon Family Management starts to put pressure on Cookie and Lucious’ relationship. When Kingsley pulls a power move of his own that has major financial repercussions for Lucious, Cookie thinks back to their early struggles. Kai (guest star Toby Onwumere) becomes upset when Jamal announces their engagement on live TV and Tiana hits a crossroad with Hakeem, who refuses to set aside his beef with Blake. Meanwhile, Candace becomes vindictive after feeling betrayed by Cookie and Giselle uncovers a key to her future in the all-new “Master of What is Mine Own” episode of EMPIRE airing Wednesday, Nov. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (EMP-508) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)
Which one of these stories is the most interesting on the surface? The biggest one to us seeing how Jamal copes with what happened with his engagement. When you are in the Lyon family, we imagine that you think almost everything is public consumption. That’s just been the way that it’s been for the better part of your adult life. Yet, there are so many people who haven’t lived the way that Jamal have, and there may be reasons for Kai’s uncertainty.
As for Cookie and Lucious, let’s just put things this way — haven’t they been through so much more than just the pressure of running a business? They will find their way through this … if they don’t after everything else, they really don’t deserve to be together.
