Of course, there is a difference between being outspoken and also being violent, and that is the crux for the latest sneak peek below coming in via CBS. In this preview, we have a chance to learn about a student organization who are known for causing a little bit of trouble — but not necessarily dangerous trouble. They protest, but they are not into the idea of actually hurting people. That’s at least what the teacher and head of the group insists … of at least the people who are in the room when Pride confronts them.
As it turns out, though, there may be another member of this group who has taken some of the messages a little bit too far, and one of the goals of this particular episode is understanding precisely why this person would want to harm others after two people are killed after an explosion. The class gives Pride a little bit of information and hopefully that’s going to be enough to go on to work the case further.
So what is one of the major themes of this episode? On paper, it seems as though it is going to be about understanding the nature of extremism and what can happen to people who come out with some really bold views that are amplified and distorted by those around them. When someone hears a message sometimes that they agree with, there can be a tendency to take things a little too far and spin them in a way that is more harmful then helpful. There’s something that the other students can learn from what happens in this episode — hopefully, though, they are eager to learn and to listen.
What else is coming within this episode?
Let’s just say that this is one of the most-important episodes of the season for Hannah Khoury. We are still getting to know her, so this is going to be an opportunity to better understand who she is — and, hopefully, why she wanted to be a part of the team in New Orleans in the first place. It does feel like there is still a little bit we need to learn about her.
