Outlander season 4 episode 3 promo: Jamie, Claire head to the Blue Ridge

In the promo for season 4 episode 3 (which you can see below), Jamie and Claire have a specific goal that they are trying to reach, and they are going to do everything that they can to make it there. Unfortunately, for them they do have to deal with some surprises as they work their way through the wilderness. One of them is conquering the weather, as there will be heavy rainfall and many a problem that comes as a result of that. Another is the presence of some Native Americans who may not be too trusting. It’s hard to imagine that they would be after there were some colonists who came over and starting taking their land and treating them horribly. If these particular tribesmen and women feel as though they are being taken advantage of — or if they just want to judge Jamie and Claire based on other settlers they have met — there could be major trouble.
Also, we do wonder if Young Ian has a role to play of his own here, given that he has shown a curiosity in the world of Native Americans.
No matter what happens here, all signs point to this being the most rugged episode of season 4 to date. Gone are some of the stately manors and in their place is little other than trees and maybe Native American settlements.
As for what else is coming…
Be prepared for the love story of Roger and Brianna to accelerate in the present-day timeline. For diehard fans, this is something that has been long-awaited given that there are so many who love these characters. Yet, at the same time we are quite curious what series-only viewers will think. It’s been over a year since these two characters were featured on Outlander — the last time was in the episode “Freedom & Whisky.” How much will they be well-remembered? Hopefully, the series will give a brief refresher on everything that has transpired, and we’re pretty sure after the fact there is also going to be a chance to see a little more of an update about their lives to go along with that.
