There are many different ways that the students of the Salvatore School can help humanity and on Legacies episode 4 next week, you will see some of that in action. The likes of Hope, Lizzie, MG, and Landon are all going to be heading towards Mystic Falls High (remember that place?) in order to help figure out what’s happened to some missing kids there. It may just be us, but we actually hope that some of the same locations are there that were present during the heyday of The Vampire Diaries so many years ago. We gotta think that there are some other veteran viewers out there who remember all the super-famous stuff happened there from so many years ago. It still feels weird to imagine some of these TVD characters as high schoolers now in retrospect. Time flies.

Of course, this is an episode that is about so much more than just nostalgia. It’s also going to be an opportunity to actually see some of these characters develop and for us to get a better sense as to where someone like Landon really fits into the larger puzzle. More so than anything else, these characters are probably just happy to not have to pick up garbage anymore as punishment for the high-school incident.
Want some other insight into the topsy-turvy, super-crazy stuff that is coming up on Legacies moving forward? Then we suggest that you take a look at the Legacies episode 4 synopsis that we have for you below:
FOLLOWING THE TRAIL – When two local students go missing, Alaric (Matthew Davis) sends Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), MG (Quincy Fouse) and Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) to Mystic Falls High to investigate. Meanwhile, as Josie (Kaylee Bryant) helps Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) adjust to his new life at the school, his reluctance to follow the wolf pack’s rules puts a target on his back. Lastly, an unsettling discovery puts Alaric and Sheriff Donovan (guest star Zach Roerig) at odds with one another. Chris Grismer directed the episode with story by Brett Mathews and teleplay by Bryce Ahart & Stephanie McFarlane (#104). Original airdate 11/15/2018.
Yep, so you are going to get some more Vampire Diaries nostalgia beyond just the school courtesy of Sheriff Matt Donovan, another fine example of how people within this world somehow don’t age (he looks exactly the same). Even though it’s been less than a few years since he was a main character on the original show, all of a sudden now he’s playing a guy who is more than a few years older. Yet, kudos to Roerig for actually finding a way to add some more maturity to this character in that allotted time.
