Jersey Shore Family Vacation Part 2 episode 13 video: The Staten Island showdown
Are these two friends? Are they frenemies? Do they have awkward sexual tension? It doesn’t seem like there’s any particular label that fits given that they do have a history (albeit a brief one) of hooking up after they had some pretty choice words for each other — but they also have a much longer history of yelling and hating each other. It also seems like Vinny detests Angelina way more than it is the other way around. The latest promo that CarterMatt has for you below is proof of that as she seems to be hanging all over him to his own displeasure. Heck, maybe that’s why she is doing it since it’s another way to get him heated and if there’s one thing that Angelina loves – it’s stirring the pot. This is why she’s such great television!
No matter what happens throughout the episode, all of the needling and the awkwardness leads to the biggest shouting match ever. Does Vinny turn into the Keto Hulk when he’s angry? It’s hard to say since you so rarely see him angry! Yet, he’s getting angry now and clearly is lashing out over what is probably just years’ worth of comments he’s bottled up. Keto Hulk Smash!
As a viewer, we’re grabbing our popcorn and preparing for the show. If we were a cast member, we probably would’ve made a beeline for the exit a long time ago, but these guys are used to the explosive fights like Jenni hitting Sammi while she’s eating a sandwich, Snooki taking off her earrings and jumping on Angelina, JWoww doing a ninja twirling backhand to Mike’s face or the insane fight Ronnie and Mike had in Italy.
Is Angelina a polarizing presence on the series? Absolutely, but we don’t really suspect she’s the reason why this season’s been so weird and difficult to watch. There just isn’t really all that much fun drama here — notice that we emphasize the word “fun.” Technically, Ronnie’s got a ton of drama but none of it is enjoyable to watch since it’s dealing with some heartbreaking issues. Most of these people just have their lives put together fairly well and it’s hard for them to offer up anywhere near as much story as they once did. Add to that the carousel feel of the show’s cast — they hop on, hop off, and we don’t see them for a handful of episodes. That’s led to mixed results and we say that as a pretty huge fan of the show.
Yet, you kinda have to enjoy Jersey Shore Family Vacation for what it is right now. Given that The Situation’s heading to prison soon, Deena’s going to be a new mom, and Jenni is going through some intense personal stuff, it’s hard to imagine there being another season soon. Of course, add to this all of Ronnie’s drama and Sammi opting to not do the series in the first place making it feel a bit disjointed. Just enjoy the funfetti cakes and the heavy drinking while it lasts…
