NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 7 may be quite the ghost story

NCIS: Los Angeles

NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 7 may not be airing on CBS until Sunday night, but the messaging from the latest preview is clear: How do you stop a criminal who is practically a ghost?

As the promo below reveals, the agents find themselves in one of their toughest pickles this season… and that’s saying something given the mess that they were just a part of with Mosley! They will be trying to find someone who they can hardly find any evidence of. Despite being ruthless and rather-deadly, this is a man who has an incredible habit of being able to clean up after himself. When Sam finally does run into him, the showdown is gonna be intense. Sometimes, you can figure that out just by the sound of the man’s voice — we don’t get to see his face in the promo, but he’s got some serious Intimidating Dude Voice going on. Everyone’s gotta cower in fear of that… well maybe not Sam, but we sure would!

NCIS: Los Angeles has some good story potential with this episode, but they’re going to have a hard time topping MacGyver in the department of “creepy, super-mysterious villain you know almost nothing about.” How do you top a ghostly villain whose name is (literally) The Ghost?

As for elsewhere…

The promo doesn’t show this, but this is an episode that will test the Callen / Anna relationship, even if it’s already not in the most stable spot that it’s been. You’ll see this throughout hour as Bar Paly’s character find herself behind bars following the Sokolov investigation. Callen is nice enough to pay her a visit before sentencing, but can he actually do something to get her out of this mess without any more jail time? That seems doubtful, but anything’s possible. Fun conspiracy theory — send Callen in as an undercover attorney again! Sure, it didn’t work perfectly the last time that he did it, but maybe he’s got a little more practice now?

As for other odds and ends with this episode, there’s no evidence of a return for Nia Long as Shay Mosley for now. The character’s time with the series isn’t for-sure done, but it feels like she was written in a way where she won’t be coming back super-soon. You could say the same thing here about Hetty and we know that there are people really worried about her not being on the show much from all of the emails we get about it. Basically, if you are a leader within the NCIS organization, apparently the best move that you can make is duck and cover while the higher-ups try to nail you to a wall.

This episode will air Sunday night. For some more details about what you can expect just be sure to check out the link here.
