Manifest episode 7 preview: Where were the passengers taken?

When Manifest episode 7 airs on NBC in one week’s time, there is actually a chance that you could see some answers. On this case, some of those answers may pertain to some missing passengers, who have been detained in secret and are being subjected to some awful stuff.

11/12/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : With the detained passengers secretly moved and subjected to painful experimentation – and Cal’s (Jack Messina) health directly linked to them – Ben (Josh Dallas) takes advantage of an old friend to find out where the passengers were taken. Meanwhile, a mysterious new version of the calling pulls Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) into a murder investigation that has deep personal ramifications for her. Also starring Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise and Parveen Kaur. TV-14 L, V

Finding out the location of these passengers is the first order of business as we move into the new episode. Meanwhile, the second order here is going to be figuring out precisely why they were taken and what this has to do with the disappearance in the first place.

Elsewhere, seeing what’s happening next with Michaela should prove important for unpacking the series’ overall mythology — beyond that, though, we wonder what the ramifications are going to be when it comes to her career and her life. Can she actually prove useful still when it comes to the field of law-enforcement, or is she too much of a liability? In theory, it feels as though she’s going to be the perfect cop; yet, she doesn’t have all of her “abilities” mastered just yet. This just means that her attempts to help could just end up causing trouble instead.

One thing to remember here as you watch next week’s episode is that there are only 16 episodes in the first season. With that, we are already starting to get close to the halfway point.
