Magnum PI episode 8 preview: A case brings back past memories

Next week, Magnum PI episode 8 is going to prove to do many different things — starting with, of course, find another way to test the title character. Each episode of the show, in one way or another, seems to put Thomas Magnum in a tricky spot. From there, it’s up to him in order to figure out how to actually navigate it and help the person who hired him in the first place. This time around, there’s a sense of urgency given that the man who hired him is actually dying of lymphoma.

“Die He Said” – A man dying of lymphoma hires Magnum to find his estranged, bone-marrow-compatible brother who turns out to need Magnum’s help as well. Also, Magnum’s case brings back haunted memories for the guys of a past SEAL team mission that went sideways, on MAGNUM P.I., Monday, Nov. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

One of the objectives that exists within the first thirteen episodes of Magnum PI is allowing you to know the title character. The writers want you to know and understand Thomas Magnum, and at the center of that is learning about his military background. It explains some of what he’s went through and, beyond that, it will explain some of what is coming up next for him, as well.

By the end of this episode, we certainly do hope that there are going to be some emotional moments — and, beyond just this, that Magnum is going to be successful in his quest to help both his first client and his brother. Given what we’ve seen from the series so far, we imagine that this episode will offer you a little bit of everything in between humor, action, and more.
