Chicago Fire season 7 episode 7 video: Brett & Foster’s crisis in the field

In the sneak peek that we have for you below, you can get a sense of what a precarious position the two of them are in after a young woman accidentally hits a man who, per her words, jumped out in the middle of the street. The man does not seem to be responding and, beyond just that, the woman’s younger sister is trapped within the car. This is where Joe Cruz tries to come in to rescue the girl (with Capp’s help) and Brett and Foster find themselves pulled in a couple of different directions.
While there is nothing particularly spoilery about this sneak peek, it does do a good job of setting up what the crisis of the week could be. There’s certainly a more personal struggle that some of these firefighters are going to be forced to confront, as well, one in which Kelly Severide is still trying to piece himself together after his father’s sudden death. It seems as though Benny did work to save Boden’s job prior to passing away, but there is still a need for more closure here and there’s no clear sign that Kelly is going to get it.
Kim Delaney will be returning for this upcoming episode, so we can at least be assured that someone from the Severide family will be there — plus, he does still have Stella at his side. He’s going to need her to get through what is this especially-difficult period within his life.
