The Deuce season 3 premiere date speculation: When could it return?
Before diving too much further into that, though, let’s start things out here with this reminder: The Deuce is going to be coming back for a season 3. Executive producer David Simon confirmed this in a post on Twitter earlier this year, but also made some of the bad news here clear, as well. The Deuce is going to be ending at the time that is perfect for the show — it is not concluding in a way that will be rushed. This was the plan from the start and this series is going to have a chance to see things through.
As for when season 3 could premiere, there’s nothing official in regards to a premiere date yet — but we’re crossing our fingers that it will be coming at some point in 2019. Having the early renewal is one way to ensure that this happens, mostly so that the writers are not in a position where they are left to sit around and wonder when they’re going to be able to come on and craft some more stories. They have a chance to prepare and hopefully that carries over into production.
Unfortunately, we don’t expect that there will be any definitive news on The Deuce and its season 3 premiere date for a while. At the moment, our estimation is that come spring 2019, maybe some more information will start to trickle in. HBO is not going to want to make any announcement too early, largely because they don’t want to be put into a position where they have to turn around and make a big change to it later. Once it’s out there, they just want for it to be out there and they can focus on some other stuff: Including promoting the series.
