The promo below offers a tiny tease of Castle actress Susan Sullivan in this particular role — this is a very different role for her than Richard Castle’s mom, and we’re definitely excited to see some of the back-and-forth that we get here between her and some of the other characters. Of course, her and Mike should be fun together, and beyond that, there’s also a great deal of potential that will come along with the story of her and Ed. Most of the promotional material out there about this episode at the moment suggests that there could be some sort of bubbling romance here, and with that could cause all sorts of glorious awkwardness.
Unfortunately, Fox isn’t giving too much away when it comes to the story — instead, we think their priority right now is about touting the success of the series. It’s a way for fans to pat themselves on the back! Also, they probably feel like they don’t really have to promote the series’ stories all that much, largely because they already know that they have viewers watching. Why give some of your secrets away unless you are in a position where you think that you absolutely have to? That seems to be what their thinking is, but we’ll see if that changes at any point over the course of the coming season. Stay tuned…
