Shadowhunters season 3: Should a trailer follow return-date announcement?

What we want to know now is simply this: Where’s the trailer? there is admittedly a part of us that felt like Freeform would decide to unveil the full trailer for the remaining episodes this season alongside the return date. It was a chance to take advantage of publicity with more publicity. If nothing else, why not release a small teaser and give a full trailer down the line?
If we were marketing the show (and had no control over when it aired — have to create some rules here in this hypothetical situation), what we’d go ahead and do here is unleash a promo at some point over the next couple of weeks. Then, maybe unleash a complete trailer at some point next month. Our idea here is that there should be some sort of extensive video footage every month until the show premieres. You want to build almost-constant enthusiasm, mostly because that is the biggest way in order to ensure that you snag new viewers and keep other ones engaged, as well. We know the diehard Shadowfam members online are going to watch; we just now want to see everyone else get on board.
As for what we want to see in this trailer, it’s a pretty long list: Think along the lines of some Clary cliffhanger teases, Malec moments, the “new” Jonathan, and hopefully some intense action sequences. There’s more on the wishlist than what we can fit into this single article.
