Chicago Fire season 7 episode 8 spoilers: Naomi will be back

It’s fair to say that Naomi is one of the most-polarizing characters on Chicago Fire, and for good reason. Everyone is protective of Matthew Casey, and he’s still going through stuff with Dawson. At the end of this past episode it appeared as though the two are heading towards a divorce, but nothing’s official there and he is still trying to deal with some of those feelings. From our vantage point, it’d be nice to see him not have another love interest for a good year or so — but sometimes, people act out on emotion. Even if Casey knows that he’s not ready to move, he could still make a risky decision in the moment.

It’s too early to know what’s going to happen with Matt moving forward; yet, we can at least say that Naomi is going to be returning to the series for season 7 episode 8, which is going to be airing on November 14. 11/14/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Firehouse 51 is called in to battle a dangerous structure fire that places everyone in peril. Severide makes a big personal realization. Casey lends another helping hand to Naomi, the investigative reporter. TV-14 L, V

Do we think that Naomi is an altogether unlikable character? Not so much. We just think that she’s someone with a lot of gumption and is rather forward about how she feels. Of course, we’re going to change our mind on that in the event she keeps pushing for something knowing full well that Casey’s not ready. From our vantage point, it’s better if she reaches out to Casey this time on a strictly-professional basis … or because he actually reaches out to her.
