Outlander season 4 episode 2 preview: Claire meets Aunt Jocasta in ‘Do No Harm’

To be specific, you’re going to have a chance to see these two characters in recovery. They were just robbed and betrayed by Stephen Bonnet and in the aftermath of this, they have to find a proper way in order to move forward. One of their only real hopes in doing so is looking towards Jocasta Cameron, Jamie’s aunt who lives over at her plantation in River Run. She may be able to aid the two of them as they figure out their future; however, in the process of that it is some of Jocasta’s way of life that Claire could prove to have a rather-larger issue with.

Claire and Jamie visit his Aunt Jocasta at her plantation, River Run. When tragedy strikes at the plantation, Jamie and Claire find themselves caught between what’s right and the law of the land, ultimately facing an impossible decision.
There is one thing that Claire is going to have an issue with more so than any other, and it goes by a rather simple name: Slavery. She has to figure out how to grapple with the terribleness of these times where slavery is generally a part of many plantations. It just goes so far against who she is as a person, and while Jamie may not have the same sort of historical perspective, at the same time he at least has an understanding of what is right and wrong. This episode is going to prove emotional and contentious, and we definitely do think the writers have their work cut out for them finding a way to make this story work.
