Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 7: Five people to watch at the merge!

David vs. Goliath

Are you ready for the merge to be here on Survivor: David vs. Goliath? Episode 7 is right around the corner, and with that, we’re returning with the latest in our five players to watch series (which we post every Saturday).

It was admittedly harder to make this article given that there are so many different notable players who pop up around the merge; yet, we’ve done our best to narrow this down to the five who either could be A) a merge boot or B) be the person who really shakes things up.

Christian – On one level, we know that Angelina wants him out of the game based on the preview that has already aired. Yet, he’s played a sneaky-excellent social game and there are too many people who want to work with him. He’s got the brochachos (John and Dan) over on Goliath and then the likes of Gabby, Elizabeth, Nick, and potentially more from the David camp. It’d be smart to get him out, but it doesn’t seem like it’s happening.

Angelina – Meanwhile, here we have a strong contender for merge boot. If Angelina can play this hard and find a way to get to the end of the season, she will deserve the utmost credit. Yet, it’s clear to almost everyone how hard she is playing her sneakiness is not that sneaky. We’re not sure she has the allies in the long-term.

Dan – Anyone who enters the merge with two idols is notable; Dan also better be prepared to be an early target as a challenge threat and prototypical Survivor Golden Boy who seems like he’s got it all going on. If he’s wise, he will play an idol the moment that he sense any danger at all. Since his second idol is secret, he can play the game differently once he burns the first one.

Gabby – She’s one of the most dangerous players in the game. She may have the perception from some that she’s this weaker-than-most outsider, but she’s incredibly smart and seems to be making the right bonds. If she can fool people and orchestrate blindsides, she’s a serious threat to win and we don’t see her leaving soon.

Nick – He’s just got so many great allies all over the place — there is Mike now among the Goliath group and, beyond that, Christian and Gabby over on the Davids. He’s fairly flexible and has found a way to make people feel really good about working with him. He’s a little shifty, but he’s certainly recovered from a tough start.
