This episode has the potential to be all sorts of monumental, mostly in that over the course of it, you’re going to have a chance to see some of the show’s cast members take on roles of people from the 1940s. We think that there’s a lot of interesting creative potential here, largely due to the fact that these are characters who could be offering up their own interesting story from the past. Plus, one of them just so happens to be his grandfather and another is Chang Apana, a legendary detective from the era. “Pua a’e la ka uwahi o ka moe” – McGarrett investigates a cold case from the 1940s, one that his grandfather and the famous Honolulu detective Chang Apana worked on, and he tries to deduce how the case could have been solved. Also, McGarrett and Danny get ready for the opening of their restaurant, on the milestone 200th episode of HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The FIVE-0 cast appears as characters from the 1940s.
If you love all things Hawaii Five-0, we certainly do recommend that you give this episode a chance. After all, it allows us an opportunity to play and explore this world through a whole new lens, and likely include some funny in-jokes along the way. We also do have the opening of Steve and Danny’s restaurant, a monumental event that really has been several years in the making at this point.
