Last Man Standing season 7 episode 6 preview: Vanessa’s mother and … Ed?

Next week’s Last Man Standing season 7 episode 6 seems to be primed to introduce something rather fun. After all, we’re going to be seeing Susan Sullivan on board as Vanessa’s mother! As if that wasn’t interesting enough for you, there’s also a good story to back things up.

This upcoming episode is (fittingly) titled “The Courtship of Vanessa’s Mother,” and all early indications suggest that the bulk of this particular episode is going to be about this character forming an unlikely bond with someone else in Ed. This is a fun opportunity to explore some dynamics between a couple of different characters, while also putting both Mike and Vanessa in a fun (and potentially awkward) position. In the end, we do think that this is a big part of what makes Last Man Standing great: It’s an opportunity to see these characters get thrown new obstacles week after week! By the end of the episodes, we have a chance to see how they handle them and how the Baxter family eventually comes together.

Vanessa’s mother comes to visit and hits it off with Ed… a little too well. Meanwhile, Mandy and Kyle tutor Boyd, but they may be the ones getting outsmarted in the all-new “The Courtship of Vanessa’s Mother” episode of LAST MAN STANDING airing Friday, Nov. 9 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. We certainly hope that this is the sort of story that lasts more than a single episode, largely because there’s so much fun stuff that can be thrown in here beyond just a single half-hour. Then again, that’s one of the great things about Last Man Standing having a solid 22 episodes a season!
