Let’s kick things off things off here with some information that you certainly should know: The midterm elections are going to make things complicated. Because of the election, there is no episode next week and instead, you’ll be waiting until November 13 to see a little bit more in terms of what’s coming.
Below, the New Amsterdam episode 7 synopsis offers up some more information when it comes to what lies ahead:
11/13/2018 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : With a big domino transplant procedure on the line, Max (Ryan Eggold) must decide if he can be present in the hospital while also dealing with his illness. Meanwhile, a bond with a patient makes Bloom (Janet Montgomery) consider her personal life and Iggy (Tyler Labine) makes progress on a long-standing case. TV-14
It’s pretty clear to us that this is going to be one of the most important episodes when it comes to New Amsterdam, mostly because it seems to be forcing Max to face his illness a little bit more head-on than he has in the past. For most of the season, he’s made the choice to emphasize the hospital more so than his own care; while that may be great for New Amsterdam in the short-term, in the long-term it’s a little more challenging. After all, if he’s not alive to run the hospital, don’t you think that this is going to be a problem? We certainly do.
The good news is that with more than a dozen episodes (and then some!) to go, there’s plenty of time to explore all of these different characters.
