Black Lightning season 2 episode 5 return date: ‘The Book of Blood’
Let’s kick things off with this rather-sad reminder: There is no new episode for the Cress Williams series in one week’s time. As for the reasoning why, it really comes down to the fact that the Midterm Elections are coming! That’s something that the network really doesn’t want to mess with and, to go along with that, it’s smart for them to feel this way. This means that you can spend next week voting and keeping track of things in your state / district without thinking that you’re going to miss the show.
So when is Black Lightning going to actually come back on the air with new episodes? Think along the lines of November 13. That’s when the next story arc, entitled “The Book of Blood: Part One,” is going to begin. This is a show that is told in seasons, but to go along with that, there are smaller arcs breaking things down. The CW is being fairly secretive about the upcoming arc, as they haven’t released any advance information about it. This is likely something that is going to happen within one week’s time, but we haven’t quite got to that point just yet. (We imagine that a part of the reason for this is because there’s likely something big tonight that would spoil whatever is coming up down the line.)
As we prepare for the future of this series, the one thing that we would advise is this: If you’re loving what Black Lightning has to offer, keep watching live! There is no sign at the present that cancellation is imminent, but it certainly helps this show tremendously if things stay that way and viewers who enjoy the show very much still decide to stick around.
