Let’s start things off here with something that comes directly via the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, and that is the costume exhibition featuring some of Terry Dresbach’s finest work at the SCAD Museum of Art. This is her last season coming up as designer of Outlander and we know that she will be sorely missed. We do firmly believe that she had one of the toughest jobs in television in having to effectively design clothes for different centuries and different continents that needed to be beautiful, but also functional and time-period appropriate. For example, Claire isn’t going to have twenty dresses to choose from at any given moment. Meanwhile, she also needs clothing that will suit her in a wide array of different environments. This is one of the primary pushes behind her costume for much of the second half of season 3.

If you weren’t able to make it to the festival for the screening or the exhibition, have no fear! The costume exhibition is still going on from now until December 2.

As for something a little bit different, check out a new video via the BBC below featuring Richard Rankin discussing not only Outlander, but also the Scottish film industry in general. As a Scottish actor, Richard of course would like to see even more productions take place close to home. However, there are some things that need to be done in order for it to happen. From Rankin’s perspective, he thinks that the #1 thing that needs to be done is to have a proper film studio there to take on larger productions consistently. Outlander has been tremendous for the area and more productions could only amplify that further.
