When it comes to Zoom, we wouldn’t have guessed that this character was on board before getting around to this point. He’s someone who is firmly in the passed, and really has not been mentioned all that much other than some passing references about “Jay Garrick” — or, Hunter Zolomon posing as him.

Yet, Tony Todd (who voiced Zoom on the second season, at least when he had the mask on) confirmed at MCM Comic Con in London this weekend that he recently recorded some dialogue for his old character recently. What that basically means is that he had an opportunity in order to hit the studio and at least offer something interesting for this episode.

What do we think we’re going to see here? If we had to guess, our prediction is that this episode is going to give us a chance to really dive in and enjoy something that either features Barry traveling into his past, or at least experiencing some sort of dream scenario. We’re not sure that a number of past villains are suddenly going to resurface, but we do think that they will have some sort of impact on him. This is a chance to really revisit some of Barry’s most-notorious foes to date; it’s almost akin to him entering his own memory palace and battling the demons within. It’s almost the Flash Museum of his own mind … or at least this is how we like to describe it at the moment.
