Doctor Who season 11 episode 4: Expectations for the spider episode

What’s notable first and foremost about what’s coming up is that it involves spiders. This is a risky choice for an episode, mostly because there are some out there so terrified of the creatures that they may not to watch on the basis of that and that alone.
Yet, the new preview below doesn’t even mention spiders, which is probably a wise move since you don’t want to scare anyone off too soon. This is a little bit more of the fun-and-innocent variety, given that here, what you see is The Doctor debating as to what she wants to do after her latest adventure with her newfound group of friends in Graham, Yaz, and Ryan. The idea of going back in the Tardis does not seem to be especially appealing to her; lucky for her, Yaz offers her up a chance to go for tea and she’s ready and willing to do that. It’s a million times better than being back in “the box” (at least what she calls it), and we have a feeling that this is going to be the jumping-off point for most of this episode.
After all, just how many Doctor Who episodes focus almost exclusively on two characters having tea? We imagine that we are going to see some of these characters discover a not-so-great surprise involving spiders soon after opting for some tea; from here, we feel like things are only going to estimate. Given that this is the latest episode of Doctor Who before Halloween, we imagine that there has to be a little bit of scary stuff in it! Yet, not too much — this is a series watched by kids, after all.
