Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 5 review: Tani and Jerry’s big discoveries

When it comes to the larger case for Five-0, this one was especially spooky; it revolved around a murder and drawings, seemingly ones from a little girl. How did she know some of the information that she did? Was she clairvoyant, or was there something else going on? That’s something that was worthy of some questions. There were certainly some clues within the drawings — all of them featured redheads. Yet, were they of the save redhead or different ones? Were there was a serial killer on their hands? Molly’s drawings did eventually lead to more bodies — but, more importantly, they led to justice.
The person we’re the most horrified here was the little girl the team eventually found (a different one that first suspected as being behind the drawings), someone who was used as a pawn in a much larger plot. Eventually, this girl did get to reunite with her mother and that produced one of the most-emotional moments of the entire hour.
As for the Jerry story, this is one that had significant ties to his past decades before at camp — every year, Jorge Garcia’s character revisited the place with some old friends in order to prove a theory true. Yet, this time around Jerry found some necessarily clues! While most of his friends didn’t believe him for the bulk of the episode, near the end of it he actually realized that he had been telling the truth for so many years. There were some human remains there. The body that they found, however, was not the body that they necessarily expected. Jerry did discover something here, and with that, maybe some of cobwebs in his brain will start to go away.
The big cliffhanger
As it turns out, the ballistics in the gun Tani found at Adam’s match what was found at the scene of Adam’s sister’s death. Basically, Adam’s in huge trouble and there’s no getting around that now. Tani hasn’t told anyone yet, but don’t you think that she will very soon?
CarterMatt Verdict
There were some fun little odds and ends in the episode, whether it be seeing the Jerry flashbacks or having Noelani dressed up as Velma from Scooby-Doo. Also, what happened with Tani and the ballistics is something that is almost certainly going to play a big role in what is coming up down the line.
