As to what this specific case will entail, just take a look at the Chicago PD season 6 episode 7 synopsis below:
11/07/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : Intelligence suspects the leader of a local mosque is behind the bombing of an Army recruitment station. After a second explosion, Voight (Jason Beghe) urges Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) to follow the facts and not let his time in the service cloud his judgment. TV-14 D, V
It’s easy to see why Halstead could have his judgment clouded, mostly because he owes much of who he is to the Army and he can’t take the bombing of a recruitment station easily. Yet, we’ve seen on so many occasions now that things are not quite what they appear. While it may look as though the leader of this mosque is behind the explosion, this could be some sort of elaborate setup designed to further anti-Muslim sentiment. As with any other Chicago PD case, you have to look at all of the facts in order to make the best determination about what really happened there. Luckily for Jay, he’s got a number of people around him to help offer some more perspective if his mind starts to get clouded.
Overall, it’s certainly clear that this is a tough season for Jay — it’s hard to say anything otherwise when you remember that he lost his father. For Jesse Lee Soffer, meanwhile, it’s clear that he’s got some fantastic material.
