Elseworlds photo: See Melissa Benoist, Ruby Rose in action!
The upcoming Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds is filming now, and with that, we’re getting a chance to see a lot of good stuff! Yet, one thing that has been kept relatively quiet (at least as of late) is Ruby Ruse and her character of Batwoman. Earlier this month, The CW did release a first look at her costume but other than that, things have been relatively quiet on her front.
For at least a brief moment, the photo below featuring Melissa Benoist changes that. This is one of the few images of Rose as her character that we have seen aside from an official production still, and we do still think that this is a rather-great take on the character. Batwoman is one of the most high-profile characters we’ve seen in the Arrowverse, and there’s also some excitement here for us in that this isn’t a character that has been particularly interpreted a lot on television to date.
On Elseworlds, you will get a worthy introduction as to who Kate Kane is, why she wears the Batwoman cowl, and some of what she represents. Hopefully, along the way you’ll also get a good sense as to some of her villains. This movie is set to eventually lead into a solo show featuring the character, one being run by The Vampire Diaries alum Caroline Dries.

This event is going to air in December — we still wish Legends of Tomorrow was involved, but it should be a lot of fun moving forward regardless.
