Unfortunately, it does not appear as though that is coming tonight. The series is currently off the air with Game 3 of the World Series coming up tonight on the network. This has been planned out for some time, and it’s something that happens every year on Fox. (Given that this is the series’ first year on Fox, it is perfectly understandable that there are some out there who may not know that this is what happens this time of year.)
Luckily, the hiatus for Last Man Standing appears to be a fairly-short one. The series is going to return to the air on Fox come November 2, and it will be doing so with an installment entitled “One Flew Over the Empty Nest.” That episode will feature Mike and Vanessa coming to terms with the fact that most of their kids are now living away from home, and it may cause them to consider bringing in a foreign exchange student. Beyond just this episode, the November 9 installment will bring you an appearance from Castle alum Susan Sullivan as Vanessa’s mother, and the November 16 episode will feature Mike heading out on a fishing trip with both his son-in-law and also Boyd. There are some interesting episodes ahead that should take advantage of the series’ cast and some great comedic situations. The idea of a sitcom, after all, is to constantly throw new situations at a cast and see how they react to it — while still keeping it in a familiar form. To date, it does seem as though
