Timeless movie premiere date, story teases revealed by NBC
Tonight, the network officially confirmed that the Eric Kripke – Shawn Ryan series is going to be premiering on Thursday, December 20 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, and over the course of this two-hour affair, we are going to see not only a resolution to the big cliffhanger from season 2, but also something holiday-themed — and, beyond just that, something with the future! That’s not something that we’d had a whole lot of an opportunity to see before now, and we certainly think that this is a cause of celebration.

Meanwhile, it seems as though the producers are going to take advantage of the holiday setting in order to ensure we get a chance to see something truly memorable for Christmas. Take a look at what the network had to say in a press release:
“Timeless” executive producers Eric Kripke, Shawn Ryan and Arika Lisanne Mittman are promising fans an epic, unforgettable thrill ride through the past, present and future, with a healthy dose of Christmas spirit. Spread across three centuries and two continents, the finale will test Lucy, Wyatt and the entire Time Team like never before as they try to #SaveRufus, preserve history and put a stop to Rittenhouse once and for all.
Basically, it seems as though there’s a lot packed in to these two hours, which are going to feel very much like a movie. It’s going to be a great way to send the series off into the sunset, provided of course that it is the end. This is being billed by many as a series finale, but we already know that this is a world in which you can never say never to the prospect of a show coming back on the air.
