Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 video: Is a storm evacuation on the horizon?

Survivor: David vs. Goliath

When Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 airs on CBS tonight, we could end up seeing the series do something that it rarely does. They may have to pull the castaways from the game due to some extremely dangerous weather.

The sneak peek below does offer you up a reasonably good sense as to precisely how bad things are. Nick is barely able to get a confessional in on the Jaberi camp, the Tiva camp’s flag is starting to fall apart. and there is a reasonably good chance that Tiva’s shelter could be completely flooded. While the castaways have had to deal with a lot of wind and rain already, this could be a point where they have to temporarily stop the game … but time will tell on that. It’s definitely the most serious weather-related situation we’ve seen so far this season.

(To us, though, the two most-notable Survivor weather situations are when the Australia camp flooded back in season 2 and when there were basically contestants hiding in trees during Survivor: Samoa as a storm there lasted for many days.)

As bad as this storm is, though, one way or another the show will go on. Even if the game is stopped temporarily, it will get going again when the weather’s a little more livable as we’ve seen in the past. As we explain in the video below (be sure to subscribe for some more updates), we think that Kara is absolutely in some serious trouble after being the odd person out on her swapped tribe after Alec flipped and Natalia was voted off. That’s the only tribe now with a David majority, and they may be smart to throw a challenge at this point to ensure that none of their other fellow tribemates get into danger elsewhere. (We know that Jeff Probst will hate it if this happens, but we actually think it’s a really smart move right now; Kara is clearly closer to some of the other people on Goliath and will be a number for them.)
