In the video below, you can get a small sense as to what’s coming as Prentiss briefs the rest of the team as to the murder at the center of the hour. A woman was found dead in Tallahassee, but unfortunately, there’s a good bit of the evidence that is not lining up as one would expect. For starters, the deceased was lured out of her home, and there was a deliberate effort apparently made to ensure that the children were unaware as to precisely what was going on here.

So who is responsible? On the surface, it looks like it’s easy to blame the husband. Yet, as Prentiss notes, this husband had a pretty rock-solid alibi in that he was in Tampa at the time it happened. There’s something darker and something incredibly ritualistic about this case, and that is something that the BAU are going to do their best in order to properly take on. This is a case that may confound many of them, but hey, it’s Criminal Minds. At some point, we have confidence that the good guys are going to be able to figure this out and bring some of the people responsible to justice … even if it is not the easiest thing in the world to do.
